Product Description

?

This replacement piston ring is an authentic OEM sourced part, not an aftermarket alternative. It is specially designed for use with Porter Cable nailers. A worn or broken piston ring is a common cause of low compression and a loss of power on an engine. If the compression is reduced significantly, the engine will not run at all. This metal piston ring is sold individually. To complete this repair you will need a set of wrenches, pliers and a screwdriver.

I carefully removed the head of the nailer and observed the debris from the piston ring. I cleaned the inside cylinder and removed the piston. I placed the new piston ring on the piston, and I replaced the head collar gasket. I tightened the head of the nailer back on. The nailer works great again.
