Clean all the pieces out from the broken piston bumper, and clean muffler. Install new bumper, make sure when installing top portion of piston not to dislodge o-ring, I did and it leaked air when I put it back together, took back apart and saw it had pulled out, just take time and align piston when installing, goes in easy and properly. Piston stop had deteriorated completely and firing piston would not retract.
1. Opened head of nailer with allen wrench.
2. Removed retaining washer complex.
3. Assembled new piston stop and bearing washer (per diagram).
4. Reattached head of nailer and secured with original bolts.
5. Secured trigger pin with urethane retainer.

Interestingly, the part that the video tech had to repair was not broken on my nailer, but, hey - it was apart on my bench so I explored a little and in the place I was supposed to find a \"piston stop\" (a piece of plastic about 1/3 the size of a cork on a wine bottle), I instead found several ... like 20 pieces of crumbling plastic. Ordered the part and a few gaskets and $30 later ... it\'s firing perfectly ... 100% of the time. Of course I\'m done putting up the floor molding in my daughters condo - but it\'s sitting on the shelf ready for my next mission.
Removed the four screws from the cylinder head and removed it
Removed and replaced the worn o-rings
Cleaned and oiled the inside of the gun
Installed the cylinder head
Remove the top of the nail gun. Replaced the plastic piston stop and washer and cleaned all the parts. The plastic stop was pretty much breaking up into small bits that were clogging the release of air.
