The Safety Pad is attached to end of the safety to prevent the material that it is being used on from getting marred or dented by the safety arm. It is a advisable to have one or two extra pads on hand as they do have a tendency to crack and deteriorate over time.

Replace all part\'s and tested and worked like a brand new one. No special instructions. Very easy. The best thing I did was to print the parts breakdown of the nail gun I was working on. That way you can lay out all the parts and see them when you need them.

1. Removed the top cover.
2. Removed the broken stop.
3. Used assembly diagram to reinstall parts.
4. Secured the cover.

Remove the broken piston stop and all of the pieces of it
Replaced the top of the gun
Pressed new nose cushion on

Unscrewed the cap, saw bit and pieces of plastic what turned out to be the piston stop. Replace gasket while it\'s still ok. Cleaned up all debris, returned cap. And test fire, works every single press of the trigger! Amazing!! Then placed several drops of lubricant and fire a few time to distribute the oil. That\'s it!
