This durable OEM supplied hardware is made for use with Max nailers. The spring is utilized to apply tension on the contact arm. Unfortunately, over time spring may get damaged, loose tension or even simply lost eventually requiring a replacement to maintain a properly performing tool. Refer to the appropriate diagrams of your specific model for the exact location and the correct installation of this component. Note, one durable metal spring is included.
