This replacement bumper is specially designed for Bostitch and Porter Cable staplers and nailers. It is a genuine item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. The purpose of this bumper is to keep the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder and damaging it. Over time this plastic part will crack and fall apart requiring replacement. Please note, one bumper is included per order. You will need a screwdriver to complete this repair.

Plunger (driver unit) was bent and stuck in the cylinder

Disassemble unit removing 4 top cap bolts and 3 small bolts holding the guide and trigger release. Remove cylinder , old driver unit and bumper. Insert new bumper, install o-ring slide driver through slot , insert cylinder over driver and seat with tab positioned in cylinder wall. Re mount external cap and nail guides. Hook air hose and t est. Works like a new nail gun.

Dissemble, scrape gasket stuck on housing and cap, replace all o-rings and parts , reassemble, oil and test

Air leaking around trigger

Removed top of the nailer. Pulled out the cylinder sleeve, the driver and the old bumper. Replaced with the new bumper. Replaced the trigger assembly. Done.
