This is an original replacement part manufactured for Bostitch stick nailers. The rubber bumper sits below the cylinder and acts as a cushion when the piston fires. Over time the bumpers can wear out from normal use, it is recommended to replace worn bumpers. There are two pieces that make up the bumper, and they are sold individually.

Remove the top cap
Remove the driver and piston
Remove the cylinder
Remove the bumper A
Remove the bumper B
Remove the driver guide
Clean complete tool and oil parts
Assemble in reverse order
Install the new rubber washer

Removed the screws from the top cap and started inspecting the internal parts . I found that bumper \"B\" was cracked and hardened. I installed the new one , then cleaned the gun inside and out and then assembled it. It works great now. Thank you.
