Kithcenaid Classic Mixer: Wife had it really loaded up and it quit. Won't start at all, no response at all when turned on. Is there a thermal overload?

If your mixer does not start, you will need to check the control plate, the phase control board, the carbon motor brushes, the wiring, the planetary, the shaft and the gears. 1. Removed chrome ring. (Screwdriver)
2. Removed pin securing planetary head. (Hammer & pin punch)
3. Removed planetary unit
4. Removed beater connection shaft. (Screwdriver)
5. Greased and installed beater connection shaft in new planetary bushing.
6. Installed new grease in planetary gear drive.
7. In stalled assembled planetary and inserted drive pin.
8. Check operation.

Mixer was leaking oil into the mixing food

Followed your YouTube video to disassemble it. Except the pin had to be drilled out since it could not be driven out. All parts fit great. Without the pin problem it would of taken 15 minutes easily.
