The locking lever end cap attaches to the bracket handle. This is an authentic OEM part for Ryobi miter stands. It is made of plastic and is sold individually. A screwdriver and a socket set might be needed during the installation process. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.
Found that mfg. had overtightened the lock nut such that the phillips head in the retaining bolt stripped. Had to drill out the head of the screw in order to remove the special shoulder bolt.
