This is an authentic Ridgid replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with miter saws. The metal blade washer is used to disperse pressure put on the blade by the arbor bolt across a greater surface area to provide a sturdy grip on the blade and arbor. Two washers may be needed because this item is used on both sides of the blade. The blade washer is sold individually.

Ok, SO I got and old 12\" Craftsman Miter saw that someone was going to throw out. It was missing the two blade collars, the blade washer and the saw blade bolt. Looked up the item and found that ALL the parts were discontinued. I did not stop... I kept looking and I could not find the part numbers for the two blade collars... I did fi
... Read morend a manual for the saw. IN the manual were all the numbers I needed. I searched for these numbers and found them listed for another saw, a RIGID of the same size. The left hand threaded bolt was hard to find anyplace... I was able to borrow one from a different saw I had, and it fit! So I ordered all the parts that had the same part number and the saw arbor bolt from a RIDGED saw and BOOM I have this very good saw back in service. The person I called helped me and said that Craftsman were made by RIDGED so the numbers of the parts were the same... The hardest part of this was finding the discontinued parts, matching their numbers. Putting it all together was a two minute job...
SO if you find an old saw or other tool, and it needs parts, dont give up, keep looking they are out there some place. Saw was back in action for less then 30 bucks shipping included... THANKS!!
