This Kerf board is a genuine DeWalt replacement part., it is sold individually. 2 are needed to complete the set. It is plastic and has 3 screw holes to secure it to your saw. Kerf plates (also called kerf boards) are used to prevent excessive splintering, resulting in cleaner cuts. Using a worn or broken kerf board in your tool can result in a rough edge to the material you're cutting.
Remove screws and pay attention to the wiring layout within the handle. Clean parts with an old toothbrush and begin the process of placing the parts in the clean mountings. Remove the screws from the old kerf plates and install new ones. Easy work. Patience.
Remove the screws from the old handle set. Remove switch. reinstall switch into handle half. Reinstall handle to saw. Remove the screws from the broken kerf boards. place new kerf boards in table and screw down.
