Hello Steve, Thank you for the question. Here is a repair story from a pervious customer that may help. Used vice grips to remove the nut (plastic head was super worn down, so a regular wrench wouldn't have worked for me... Turn RIGHT to loosen). Wedged a big flathead under the fan and turned to pry the fan loose from the motor shaft. Popped on the new METAL replacement fan (normally used by a more expensive model) and re-tightened the nut. Works great. We hope this helps!
