3. Remove the old cable.
4. Snap in the cable connect towards the top of the mower by the drive handle. < br />5. Connect the cable to the mower end FIRST. (It makes the process much easier when connecting the cable to the control handle.
6. Connect the cable to the drive handle and the cable should be installed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WHEEL REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the wheel with a socket wrench (with mower on its side).
2. Remove old wheel and place new wheel on the axle.
3. Replace plastic cover on the inside of wheel to keep debris from getting into the drive gear.
4. Tighten the wheel with a socket wrench, not too tight where that it can\'t move, but tight enough that it will not fall off.
5. Repeat steps for the other side.

Control cable, which allows engine to run (while you grip the bar, basic safety interlock)

It\'s obvious that both ends can be fitted to the device ( to handle on top, and carburetor on bottom).

The only other things to say is that it seemed prudent to oil the inner wire before mounting it, and that a large pair of pliers was handy to snap the black plastic part into the mower frame the way the old one was.

It was a complete and trouble-free replacement.

Actually I have 2 of these mowers (one for parts), and both original cables broke from rust. So oiling is probably a god suggestion.

The blade control piece cracked. Slight frey in cable. Missing wing nut

Would not start because of lack of tension due to missing wing nut. Next the metal blade control cracked during moving. I removed the blade control which slides out. Next with pliers squeezed the control cable end to remove it from the mounting area. Has a plastic piece that expands to lock into place. I would not of been able to reuse it so make sure you have one on hand before removing. The new one slipped into place and locked in the fitting. Same for the top where mounted to the metal frame. Everything was an exact fit as new.
