This is a genuine replacement part manufactured for use with small engines. The special flywheel key fits into the slot on the crankshaft and aligns with the keyway in the center of the flywheel. This flywheel key allows the flywheel and crankshaft to maintain the same rate of rotation, and if the key should break it can cause misfires or poor engine performance. This flywheel key is sold individually.
