** Before starting repair, disconnect and remove battery. (Always disconnect Negative first!)
1. Disconnect tie rods from steering shaft.
2. Remove steering wheel by removing roll pin. Note: (Roll pin was fused and would not budge. Cut steering shaft and ordered new steering wheel).
3. Remove steering shaft decorat ive cover sleeve and cap.
4. Remove top steering shaft retaining cotter pin and washer.
5. Lift front end of tractor and remove old steering shaft from bottom of tractor.
6. Transfer bottom steering shaft retaining cotter pin and washer from old steering shaft to new steering shaft.
7. Install new steering shaft from bottom of tractor and lower front end of tractor.
8. Reinstall top shaft retaining washer and cotter pin.
9. Reinstall shaft decorative cover sleeve and cap, and attached new steering wheel with new roll pin (insure roll pin is centered! Use punch!).
10. Reconnect tie rods to steering shaft.
** Reinstall battery. (Always connect Positive first!)
