Well it looked easy at first. By the the time I completed the task for the third time, it was easy! First I took off the blade which was required. Put belt around shaft and put blade back on. next went to put around pulley on drive assembly. Not enough slack. Took blade off again. Remove assembly parts, cleaned and greased them. Put belt
... Read morearound drive assembly pully and THEN put around shaft of engine pulley. Be careful of your fingers it is tight but doable. Put blade back on and then discovered that had idler pully installed wrong. Took blade back off. Took belt off engine shaft pulley. Rerouted around idler pulley, around drive assembly pulley, THEN around engine shaft pulley. REINSTALLED blade for third time. I am now GOOD at this task. Note to self: Really! I would advise using Never seize on all bolts and fittings to make easier next time. AND there will be a next time. Hope this was helpful. Cheers.
I removed the blade and clutch pack to replace the main drive belt. The rest of the drive system was easy , i just had to remove one wheel to get to the rest of the system. The replacement parts are good quality. Hopefully they well last 43 years like the originals I replaced on my 1974 Snapper 21 with Wisconsin Robins engine
Tilt mower up on it\'s side and block in place .
Remove chute, blade, disc, and belts.
Salvage old spacer. I had a lot of corrosion holding the spacer onto the old bolt. I used liquid wrench, a vise grip, & hammer to break apart.
Take out bolt holding poly-vee belt cover @ tilt up for clearance; to slide belt out & in.

... Read morebr />I replaced the separate lock washer & nut holding the disc with a nyloc nut for ease of assembly.
Also Sharpen the blade or replace.
Reassemble with new parts.

Idler pulley had broken, so replaced pulley and belts at same time.
Removed lawn mower blade to get remove old belt and replace with new one.
Removed spring from Idler Pulley mount, and replaced idler pulley, and connected new belt.
Disconnected drive shaft on one side and removed old belt and replaced with new belt.
Tightened all the bolts and reconnected tension springs.
