This is a original manufacturer sourced replacement part used on Snapper lawn mowers. This is the ground drive belt that connects the engine crankshaft pulley to the transmission pulley. This part is made out of rubber and it is sold individually. Clean the pulleys off before installing the new belt to ensure top performance and longevity with your new belt. Inspect belts periodically and replace them when worn to maintain peak performance. To replace this belt you would need a wrench and a screwdriver.

I removed the blade and clutch pack to replace the main drive belt. The rest of the drive system was easy , i just had to remove one wheel to get to the rest of the system. The replacement parts are good quality. Hopefully they well last 43 years like the originals I replaced on my 1974 Snapper 21 with Wisconsin Robins engine

Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench (Adjustable), Wrench set
Slip belt over large pulley and idler
Loosen and remove nut on shaft with drive pulley
Tap shaft over about an inch
Slip belt over end of shaft
Tap shaft back in to place
Slip belt on pulley
Replace and tighten nut
Tilt mower up on it\'s side and block in place .
Remove chute, blade, disc, and belts.
Salvage old spacer. I had a lot of corrosion holding the spacer onto the old bolt. I used liquid wrench, a vise grip, & hammer to break apart.
Take out bolt holding poly-vee belt cover @ tilt up for clearance; to slide belt out & in.

... Read morebr />I replaced the separate lock washer & nut holding the disc with a nyloc nut for ease of assembly.
Also Sharpen the blade or replace.
Reassemble with new parts.
