Ryobi Lawnmower
Height Adjustment broken. This part is for a few models of Ryobi Cordless Electric lawnmowers. Mine is the RY40108.
The height adjustment broke while I was mowing my lawn...bummer! The lawnmower dropped to the ground.
No problem! Remove a few star screws on the top of the mower, find the broken part, pop open the eReplacements.com website and order the 639203001 from the exploded view provided by the website. The part came in a couple of days. I took photos with my phone of the structure of the height adjustment in case I need to refer to it when re-installing. I always do this (SQUIRREL!) just in case I get dis-(SQUIRREL!) -tracted by something.
The part from eReplacements was perfect! I installed the new part and my lawn mower is better than it has been in years! That's because I also applied some nice lubricant to all of the moving parts of the height adjustment mechanism.
Sooooo smooth now! I adjust the height so that I can mow the sidewalk and the street (read: vacuum grass and leaves on the lowest setting).
