This is a genuine OEM sourced part that is specially made for use with Husqvarna and Weed Eater lawn mowers. It is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released. Unfortunately, if the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component.
