Removed the wheel cover, removed the wheel, took the nut off from skirt rod, removed the old skirt, replaced it with the new skirt, rod, nut and the wheel and cover.
Blade replacement:
Secured a plastic bag under the fuel cap.
Put the mower on its side with air filter up.
Removed the blade bolt.
Cleaned the mower deck.
Placed the new blade and secured it with wrench.
Rear skirting:
Removed the two bolts that secure the rear skirt to the mower and removed
... Read moreremaining broken skirting.
Re-Inserted the bolts and hand tightened them a few turns.
Placed the new skirting into the bolts then tightened both bolts with wrench.
I have a Weedeater mower. To replace the skirt, simply remove the rear wheel (one nut in the middle under the cap) and then remove the skirt retainer. Pull the retainer pin and slide skirt off of other side retainer. Insert new skirt and reinstall the retainer and then the wheel and wheel cap. Took about 5 minutes to do.
Replaced spring hinge and hinge rod. Installed mulcher plate. Replaced worn rear skirt by loosening metal holders and installing new skirt and re-clamping the metal holders.
