This is an authentic manufacturer sourced replacement belt specially designed for use with walk-behind lawn mowers. This is the the main belt that drives the blades. Over time rubber belts tend to stretch out or break eventually requiring replacement. When replacing this belt, make sure to clean off the drive pulleys to prolong the life of the new belt. This part is made out of durable rubber and it is sold individually. You will need a set of wrenches to replace this drive belt. • Remove the belt cover • Move the belt guard • Remove the old drive belt • Install the new drive belt • Reassemble and test the new belt

1. Removed old front drive wheels from mower, (one bolt) replaced with new ones. Easy repair that was done in minutes.
V-belt replacement was more involved.

Remove the the cover, then place the belt on the gearcase pulley and engine pulley. To remove the wheels just remove the nut from the shaft and pull the old wheels off , then put the new wheels on and tighten the nut.
I downloaded a copy of the owner\'s manual and found info about changing the belt. Taking off wheels showed that gears on inside was stripped and the one wheel needed to be replaced.
1. Remove the drive cover and belt keeper.
2. Remove the belt from gear case pulley.
3. Turn lawnmower on its side with air filter and carburetor down. Put a piece of Saran Wrap or plastic bag over gasoline opening and replace with cap to prevent leakage of gas.
4. Remove blade, engine pulley and debris shield.

6. Place new drive belt in engine pulley and belt retainer of debris shield.
7. Route the other end of the new drive belt through hole in housing.
8. Reinstall debris shield and return mower to upright position.
9. Install new belt on gearcase pulley and reinstall belt keeper and drive cover.
10. Turn the lawn mower on its side again and reinstall blade.
Note: There are specific instructions for removing and reinstalling the blade which I did not include.
