Repair Manual for Jet JML 1040 Mini Lathe. Removed Spindle and bearing using allen wrenches, hammer, wood block, and steel punch. No special instruction required. I have the expertise and training to accomplish the repair. Finding the parts was the most important thing. You saved my day. I love this place.

I disconnected the power and then released the belt tension. Took the hand wheel off, there are two set screws. In the spindle you have two setscrews, loosen both of them so that the spindle will move freely. The lock in front part of the head it has three screws to take out and the cover will come off but watch out for the spring from th e lock spindle. Next, take the wooden mallet and hit the end of the spindle to knock it out watch out for the KEY in the spindle it\'s not very big you could lose it. To put it back together do everything in reverse.
