I was repairing a 40 plus year old metal cut-off saw with a broken hand crank on the vise .
I used a replacement hand wheel from an 18\" band saw that was the correct diameter. The replacement hand wheel was for a smaller shaft so I drilled it out to 1/2 inch. I installed it with the included set screw. It works perfectly and is a much better quality hand wheel than the original.
