Just the part required.
The ball retention spring arrived in a timely manner, was in perfect shape, no mishandling, crushing or bending during shipment. The impact driver was quite easy to disassemble and reassemble, how hard could it possibly be to remove two springs, a steel ball and reinsert them in the proper order. NOW when it came time to reinstall the bull ring to hold the flat washer in place; that's where the fun began. Your you-tube video makes it look like the ring just snaps in place. NOT SO ! ! ! ! I spent nearly an hour attempting to follow your directions for compressing the springs, and snapping the ring in place. "Perhaps I wasn't holding my mouth in the right position!' Anyhow, after some sweat. language I care not to repeat, the ring went in place. and the impact driver is back in service.

Watched your video for this repair and it made it very easy to do. Watch for flying parts as you remove split ring . It\'s little hard to get split ring started back on. Here is a copy of the video
First pick the hog ring off
Remove washer spring cap and ball
Put new parts in and reassemble
Be careful the hog ring is hard to get on
Start on one side and work it around your job is done
If your impact driver does not hold a bit replace the spring behind cap.
Which holds the ball, shoul

The spring that kept tension on the ball bearing broke.
1. Removed clip, washer, spring.
2. Removed housing
3. Removed broken spring and replaced with new spring, making sure ball bearing was in correct place.
4. Replaced housing, spring, washer and clip.
I watched your your tube video on how to repair a impact driver. And it made the repair much easier. Thank you.

1. I initially disassembled the chuck assembly. Unaware of the compressed spring under the compression ring and washer, the chuck slipped from my fingers and I lost the compression spring, washer and steel ball.
2. Upon receiving the parts, I reassembled the chuck , but it did not work properly.
3. I then disassembled the ch

4. I then reassembled the chuck placing the steel ball above the retention spring in the slot on the shaft rather than below the spring in the slot.
5. The chuck worked as designed after the second reassembly.
NOTE: I think that the video instruction you nicely provided should also include:
1. A warning that once the compression ring is released that the chuck and related parts are under pressure and should be held firmly so as not to lose any parts.
2. A note that indicates that the steel ball is to be placed above the ball retention spring rather than below the ball retention spring.
3. The second spring ( the ball retention spring ) should be named just that .
Thanks again for the ease of ordering parts on your website and the excellent video\'s that make repairs less daunting to the average DIY\'er
I watched the video that you have on you tube. It was a great help. I also installed the belt hook on the tool.
