This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement part that is intended to be used with hedge clippers from Shindaiwa and Echo. The clutch drum is used to link the motor's drive shaft and the blade's gearbox. This houses the clutch and both parts allow the motor to idle without driving the blades. The clutch drum is sold as a single item, please note the clutch is sold separately.
