This is a genuine Black and Decker replacement part, it is sold individually. The 90552433-01 works in conjunction with the 90552388 Prefiter. It will collect the dust and debris that the Prefilter was not able to gather. Its purpose is to catch the dust and small debris from entering the motor and damaging it. Once this filter becomes dirty and clogged it should be discarded, and replaced with a new one.
