This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The hex nut is found in a Makita rotary hammer. This part is made of metal, and is used to hold the tool retainer in place on the tool holder. Please be aware that there are different nuts used in the machine. Refer to the parts diagram to be sure of ordering the correct part. You will require a wrench when replacing this item. This part is sold individually.
