Product Description

?

This is a manufacturer approved replacement part crossover/carryover tube. It is specially designed for use with Weber gas grills. The purpose of this tube is to allow gas to flow from one burner to another. They also help to secure the burners in place. Over time due to heat and moisture carryover tubes may begin to rust or warp requiring replacement. This would be the time to replace them. I started by cleaning up the inside of the grill. Then took out the cast iron grills, flavorizer bars, under tray. I removed the top control plate on the right, then started to look for nuts and bolts. I found a screw on the ends of the burners on the left side. Thank goodness Webber uses top quality hardware so There was no rotting scre ws to fight with. I next had to figure out how to remove the control section before removing the burners. Once I figured that out the burners came out with ease. I installed all the new parts in reverse order. This whole project is a very straight forward operation if your good with hand tools. All I needed was a straight screwdriver, 5/16 socket and ratchet with extension, a pair of Chanel locks and a scraper to clean the inside with. The instructions I received with the burner kit were totally useless as they were for another replacement part that had nothing to do with what I was doing. As I said though, THIS job is straight forward.

Remove the two knobs on the control panel.
Remove the two screws that hold the control panel in place.
Lift off control panel exposing manifold.
Remove the two nuts (7/16?) that hold the manifold bracket to the side of grill.
Remove manifold by sliding back, then slide burner tubes back.
May need to loosen he x screws that hold burners in place, but these don\'t need to come all the way out out. (Nut driver is better than straight screwdriver)
Once burner tubes are unseated, position new crossover tube.
Reassemble.
