It is an authentic OEM part which is specially designed for Char-Broil grills. The electrode provides a spark that arcs to the main burner to ignite the gas. If the burner won't light, first clean the electrode and check that it's aligned. If the problem persists, replace the igniter electrode. This item will provide an identical replacement for the original part that was installed on a new unit. Refer to the diagrams of your model for the correct installation of this component. Note, one durable ceramic electrode with an attached wire is included. Replacing it is a simple task that only requires a screwdriver.
