1. Removed broken handle
2. Unsuccessfully install new handle
3. Drilled holes in grill lid to match holes in lid handle
4. Successfully attached lid handle to lid

Broken lid handle

Removed two nuts from the outside of the lid. Placed the nut in the slots in the handle. Threaded the bolts through the lid and into the nuts. Tightened with a socket.

Loosened the existing nuts from the two bolts that attach the handle to the grill.
Used this hardware to attach the new handle.
All lined up.. All went well.. very happy.
