I used to hesitate about buying parts online. I'm a home-based bakery owner, and always need replacement pieces for equipment. This part is exactly what is listed. I was concerned that I would have to buy a new food processor. The replacement part fits and works well. BUT The first time I tried it I used it to shred sweet potatoes. To my surprise the plastic replacement part stained orange after one use. I tried washing it with soap and water, submerging it in bleach, and running it through the dishwasher two times. Well, it is orange forever! My concern is with the porous material used. If it visibly absorbs color won't it also absorb other food qualities? How can I ever be sure it is sanitized? The original part never stained even after years of use.
