Attached new spring to clutch plate linkage with holes in it and other end to upper frame hole

The spring, located under the engine platform, providing tension to the clutch/brake pedal broke.

1. Remove any remaining portion of the broken clutch/brake tension spring on the rider mower.
2. Attach either end of the new spring to the hole provided in the tab located on the bottom of the engine platform; directly above the clutch/brake tension lever.
3. Attach the other end of the new spring to the second (2nd) hole fro m the end of the clutch/brake tension lever.

Old clutch rod guide had a notch worn in it causing gear shift to not stay properly seated. I replaced the guide, and was a Complete Fix. I took my time, so most folk could do this faster if you wish. Only One bolt is removed ! And a spring.
