This replacement part is used to create and air-tight seal for the rotary shaft, over time the material may begin to deteriorate and crack eventually requiring replacement to maintain peak performance. 1. Watched your video on removing and replacing the pump.
2. Removed pump and found I had no way to press the old bearing and seal out.
3. Ordered new pump housing, bearing, and oil seal. Much less expensive than a new pump.
4. Pressed new seal and bearing in place using a socket and a small hammer.
5. Added oil a nd reassembled as in the video.

Drain oil Removed pump and pump head, separated the two, removed old seals and grooved washers from pump and pump head-installed new ones,careful to not force anything, select proper sized socket use to seat seals and washers, use bolts and spacers to collapse pumd springs, install short star screws,work pump shafts into pressure head sea ls and reassemble. Add oil /finish.
