It is a genuine replacement gasket which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Rolair air compressors. This is the special component which provides an air-tight seal for the cylinder head, over time it may wear out and crack eventually requiring a replacement. It is a high-quality gasket which is made of durable composite material and is sold individually.

1. Remove 6 bolts on top of pump
2. Loosen nuts that fasten copper pipe
3. Lift head off pump.
4. Clean off old gasket
5. Install new gasket
6. Fasten nuts and bolts
The repair is fairly simple although it took some time to properly clean the old gaskets off. The only thing that was tricky was holding the metal strips (valves) in place while turning it up side down to put it in place. I used Vaseline to temporarily hold them in place.
