O-rings are flexible circles which are used to prevent leaks and maintain pressure. This part is an authentic OEM replacement ring used in Karcher pressure washers. These O-rings are used at the connection point between the machine and its hose. This set includes five (5) identical O-rings. Please note that the wand itself uses a separate set of O-rings, part # 2.640-729.0 O-Ring Seal Set. Multiple other sizes of O-ring are used in various other spots on these machines; see manual for part numbers and placements.

This could have been a lot easier if some of the screws weren\'t so deeply set that I could not reach them with any of my star drivers.... wound up using the flex adapter from a \"kit\" with a star driver bit...
1. Removed old seal and clean hose end with light soap.
2. Spray o ring with silicone lubricant. (Optional)
3. Gently stretch O ring over hose end until ring seats in the groove.
4. Put together and test.

The fitting where the high pressure hose attaches to the pump leaked while running.
The o-ring on the hose fitting had torn. The only challenge was getting the old one off. I had a dental pick that I could poke under the old ring to lift it out of its slot. Any other strong small-diameter pick would work. as well. Once the old ring was out, slipping the new on into position was a piece of cake. Total time, a minute

\"Clamp\", really a formed clevis pin type arrangement, was just fine. Put in place and it secured the hose. the O Ring was more of a problem.
