Tools:
Nutdriver, Pliers, Socket set
Parts Used:
1214409-S, 1204101-S
1. Removed air cleaner.
2. Removed air cleaner box from the carb.
3. Removed choke & throttle linkages from choke & throttle
4. Removed carb body. This took a little tugging, twisting because the gasket was stuck to both the carb body & intake port. Scraped old gasket of both surfaces.
5. Removed butterfly from throttle shaft.
6. Replaced throttle shaft & seal; reinstalled butterfly on shaft.
7. Installed new gasket. I like to use a thin film of grease on gaskets but maybe that\'s just me.
8. Repeated steps 4-3-2-1 using \"replace\" instead of \"removed\".

I thought my chances of getting replacement parts for an engine this old were about zero. Thanks to eReplacementParts, this old Kohler is running like a top! (It helps, too, that it\'s a Kohler.)
