This is an authentic Generac replacement part manufactured for use with portable generators. The fuel gauge is fastened to the top of the fuel tank and is used to measure the amount of fuel inside the tank. This fuel gauge includes the arm, gauge, bracket, and hardware to mount the assembly. The fuel gauge assembly is sold as an individual replacement part.

Shipping method for fragile part inexcusable
Had the part I needed, and the price was right even with the shipping charge. However, a fragile part like this should not have been shipped in an envelope. The flimsy OEM box in the envelope was crushed. Fortunately the part was not broken, but the original gauge broke inside the fuel tank, so that tells me this piece is not very robust already. Also, my part did not come with the sticker pictured on the right. That would just cover the screws and make things look cleaner, so it does not hamper the functionality.

I had to remove fuel tank in order to retrieve the broken fuel gauge. Installation of the fuel gauge itself takes minutes and is very simple. New screws were not included with the fuel gauge but common size available at the hardware store
