Drained gas from mower turned it on it\'s side and removed the lawn mower blade, romoved the plastic cover that is held by 2 bolts on the bottom of the base of the mower removed the mower belt relpaced the belt made belt adjustment and put mower back together.
Tilt mower up remove blade take off plastic cover two bolts, should order the bolts they get rusty. Slide belt off pulley as you pull down part reinstall easy

Blade adp. was bent and blade would not stay tight
Removed old blade adp. Cleaned shaft. Slid belt on new blade adp. Installed new blade adp. held blade in place, added new blade bell support and new hex nut. And Presto Changeo, everything works great. All the parts fit just like the old ones, except the new ones work much better. Thanks for your help!

Blade support that drives the rear wheels slipping after mowing over a tree stump
1. Remove the air filter
2. Remove spark plug wire from spark plug
3. Tip mower up on its side
4. Remove cutting blade...set aside
5. Remove drive belt guard (2-3 screws)..set aside
6. Using a pry bar, or a rolling bar, gently pry between blade adapter pulley and engine
7. Blade adapter has an indente
... Read mored key which is designed to line up with a key way on the engine drive shaft....Mine had slipped out of this keyway and was broken which allowed the drive shaft of the engine to not fully engage the drive system when under load. This probably was included in the design to allow this slipping to take place and shear off the indented key way to save damaging the engine or other parts of the mower. A GREAT IDEA!
8. Align the indented keyway with the keyway of the engine shaft and gently tap the adapter on to the engine shaft.
9. Replace items removed in first 5 steps above..
You are done....took me 15-20 minutes to complete, and saved purchasing a new mower or engine for these parts.
