Remove the screws that hold the gearbox to the lower shaft. Slide off the old shaft and remove the driver assembly and cutter head. Slide the new gearbox on the lower shaft and tighten down the screws to hold it in place. Install the driver assembly and the cutter head.
took lower guard off removed lower shaft , pulled flexshaft out , removed lower powerhead and reinstalled NEW lower powerhead , installed new flexshaft then put lower shaft back to upper shaft , installed guard job completed and works excellent , like new !!!
