1. Disassembled to get at the broken part.
2. Removed the spark plug and inserted the rope into the cylinder.
3. Removed the broken part.
4. Installed the new part.
5. Removed the rope and reinstalled the spark plug.
6. Reassembled the trimmer.

Remove the complete starter assembly
Removed the starter pulley assembly
Then remove the old pawl and broken parts
Installed the new pawl
Then assembled in reverse order

Removed starter rope assembly
Removed broken starter pawl bridge
Installed new starter pawl bridge with 10mm socket wrench
Installed new starter rope assembly to the trimmer case.

1. Removed the pull cord housing.
2. Removed the spark plug and stuffed a section of rope through the spark plug hole into the cylinder. This allowed me to remove the nut holding the old starter pawl bridge.
