I had to completely disassemble the gearbox to salvage the two primary shafts, clean them up and then reassemble with all of the new parts.

Auger gear broke

This snow blower is a 1992 John Deere TRS24. The auger gear lost a few teeth and needed to be replaced. This part is no longer available through JD. I determined that Murray made this machine for JD. Searching your Murray parts lists I found the correct gear. The repair consisted of disassembling the impeller/auger gear box, install the new gear on the auger shaft, grease the gear box, and reassemble.
