Remove gas tank
Remove plastic covers
Remove carburetor assembly
Remove muffler assembly
Assembly parts in reverse order to new short block
Add extra oil to gas and break in engine

The piston was scored on the exhaust side causing it to lose compression.. Seen by removing the muffler and looking in with flashlight. After taking it apart, the inside of the cylinder had matching scores. Rather than buying a replacement piston ($40) and cylinder ($60) I got the Short block ($112). Good move!!! One recommendation: A diagram to show exactly how to orient the gaskets.
Make sure your gas has enough oil is what I learned.
It started on one pull and runs better then new..
