Used allen wrench to remove Speed-Feed head then a crescent wrench to remove nut with a screwdriver. Installed new improved gearbox and reinstalled Speed-Feed head. The new gear box has been re designed for the better. You will need the screw speed feed head attaches to off the old gear box to carry over to the new one because it does not come with one. Not a big deal. Trimmer has all the power back and is brand new!!!
