This is an original Echo replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The throttle lockout is found in Echo hedge trimmers. This part is made of high-quality plastic, and is a safety device to prevent accidental triggering of the machine. The machine requires the throttle lockout to be depressed along with the trigger in order to throttle up the trimmer. You will require a screwdriver when replacing this item. Please use caution, as the levers are under spring tension, and the spring could easily release and be lost. When you have removed the lockout lever, replace the spring first, then lift the spring slightly, fit the new lever to the spring, align the screw holes, and lower both spring and lever into place. This is a common wear item. You may wish to order a spare. This part is sold individually.
