hardest part: removing old hex screws holding engine and starter cover on. new ones: m 4x16. inspect, if dog is shredded remove single screw and attach new one, make sure it engages. If its more then the dog just buy a new starter assembly. But this worked on my Shindaiwa M2510.

Had to remove screw holding dog mechanism in pull start unit. Screw would not come out . Had to cut head off screw and then removed stub with vise grips. Spring became undone and had to refit spring. Then put in new dog and had to bend ears on dog driver plate to get it to engage. Once complete it worked fine. No wonder original deale ... Read more
