Installed the splined adapter. Then install pulley making sure you have room to put the belt on. Install nut & make sure it\'s properly tightened.

Transmission pulley stripped and tractor stopped moving.

1. Remove battery and straps that the battery sits on for access to the transmission pulley,
2. Place screw driver through hole in the pulley to secure and remove the nut on top of the pulley.
3. Remove the two springs on the idler assembly to release pressure on belt.
4. You will need to loosen the two bolts on the righ t holding the axle to the frame to get enough clearance to remove the pulley. It is not necessary to remove the bolts. Just loosen enough to slightly depress the sale.
5. Jack the tractor up to clear the right wheel.
8. Press down on the right axle and remove the transmission pulley. You only need about a 1/4 inch of additional clearance when you press on the axle.
7 Remove the transmission hub.
8 Replace transmission hub.
8 Replace the transmission pulley and put belt back in place on the pulley.
9 Replace and tighten nup on top of pulley.
10 Tighten the two bolts on right axle that were loosened for clearance and remove jack.
11 Replace two springs on iddler assembly.
12 Replace battery hanger straps and battery.

1. Disconnected spark plug and battery.
2. Jacked up the tractor.
3. Removed rear wheels for better access.
4. Pulled tensioner spring for the transmission belt.
5. Removed engine pulley.
6. Removed both belts and replaced.
7. Installed the new transmission pulley.
8. Installed engine pulley and aligned belts.
9. Installed the rest removed to do the repair.

1) Removed 6 bolts hold trans and rear axle in place. (Makes it easier to get on the 9/16 flange nut.
2) Used an impact driver to remove the 9/16 flange nut. (With a normal socket or wrench the whole rear end turns).
3) Remove stripper pulley and 5/8 spline, replaced with new Spline, pulley and flange nut.
4) With b elt around the pulley, tighten flange nut with impact.
5) Re-install 6 bolts holding trans and rear end back in place.
6) Assemble belt on idler and tension wheel and attach spring. Complete

The internal star flange was bent and would not lock onto the transmission drive

I had to completely remove the chassis and all belts to remove the pulley drive. The repair was easy after all the preliminaries were completed.
