This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Briggs & Stratton small engines. The float bowl gasket forms a seal around the float bowl to prevent fuel leaks. Over time gaskets can wear out from compression or can deteriorate by prolonged exposure to fuel. Replacing gaskets is part of normal carburetor maintenance, this gasket is sold as an individual replacement part.
