Simple, I just loosened the 2 nuts holding the wheels on, took off the old wheels and put the new ones on. Re tightened the nuts, and worked out great. I wish they had used metal gears inside the wheels instead of plastic.

Bearing on axle bad

Michael from Bluffton, Indiana

1 person found this instruction helpful.
Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
30 - 60 mins
Tools:
Nutdriver, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
Removed wheels first. Then remove E-clips from gears. Removed gears and pins. Removed dust covers. Then removed wheel adjusters. Bearings are located on adjusters inside and on shaft. One bearing came off easy. Other bearing was so bad had to cut inner and outer races with Dremel because the balls all fell out of bearing. Cleaned up sha ft with emery cloth and reinstalled bearings both sides. Reassemble adjusters, dust covers, gears, wheels same as when you removed them. Make sure there is an E-clip on each side of axle shaft that rest against gears. These clips keep bears in the adjusters. Hope this helps.
