ordered a new spring and put it on real easy. i gave the new spring a few coats of paint to keep the rust off as this is why the old one broke

ordered the expedited shipping and connected one end of the spring to the handle and the other to the cable linkage plate. It took 5 minutes and I had forward drive in 3 days. I was back in business before the next snow.
