1. removed starter motor from sn owblower using torx driver on bolts,very tight space
2. cleaned all parts,lube shaft with silicone spray
3. slid new pinion 0n shaft,added spring and washer
4. slid ring lock on shaft and using a sized nut driver pushed the the ring down until it snapped into groove
5. snapped cove r in place
6. tested pinion action on motor and reinstalled into snowblower
7.worked the first time engaging gas motor

Removed necessary thrower body parts. Removed broken starter. Checked what new parts needed. Ordered parts. Installed new parts in motor, reinstalled motor and blower body parts Started blower , worked like new..
