This is a genuine replacement part sourced from the original manufacturer for use with riding lawn mowers and lawn tractors made by Husqvarna, Poulan, Weedeater, Ryobi and Jonsered. This part helps keep the wheels on the tractor or lawn mower in alignment. You may need a screw driver or pliers to replace this part. This rod tie is sold individually and made of metal.
Removed the cotter pins from both ends of the bent tie rod. Then removed the tie rod from the left and right spindles. I then inserted the new tie rod into the spindles and replaced the cotter pins.
Remove the cotter pins from each side of the bent tie rod and removed it
Inserted the washers and new cotter pins into the spindles and bent the cotter pins to secure the tie rod.
I had to remove a cotter pin in on each end of the tie rod. I popped the old one out and dropped in the new tie rod Then I installed a new cotter pin on each end. NOTE: new cotter pins are NOT included with the new tie rod.
It was really quite easy, although I am glad I had new cotter pins on hand before doing the repair.
Pulled Cotter pins and washers at each end of tie rid. Pulled put old tie rod. Installed new tie rod. Reinstalled washers and Cotter pins. Problem resolved.
I removed the cotter pins from the tie rod ends and lifted the tie rod out. I removed the old bushings and installed the new bushings. I then installed the new tie rod and put in the new cotter pins.
